MAXCourage works closely with the following organizations to bring the courage curriculum to students across the U.S. and around the world.
Northeastern is a global, experiential, research university built on a tradition of engagement with the world, creating a distinctive approach to education and research. Having been a MAXCourage partner since 2006, Northeastern not only houses our staff and helps publish our annual essay publication, but also works with us to analyze our program and ensure effectiveness and efficiency in carrying out our mission.
MAXCourage's innovative approach over 30 years ago, with the focus on improving Boston Public School students access to reading and writing has remained innovative today - post pandemic, with the ensuing mental health crisis, and the impact of Covid 19 on marginalized students and their families.
MAXCourage is the proud recipient of a grant from the Liberty Mutual Foundation for expanding educational opportunities for underserved students in Boston.
Implemented in 2016, The New Bedford Public Schools District is the first school system to utilize the MAXCourage curriculum district-wide. The first of the Gateway Cities, New Bedford is the model for further Gateway City expansion.
Implemented in 2019, Barnstable's entire 6th grade, system wide, participates each year.
